Tom Holert

Tom Holert is an independent scholar and curator. He is co-founder of the Harun Farocki Institut in Berlin. He curated several research exhibitions including Neolithic Childhood. Art in a False Present, c. 1930 (with Anselm Franke) in 2018, and Education Shock. Learning, Politics and Architecture in the 1960s and 1970s in 2021, both at Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), Berlin. His recent publications include Knowledge Beside Itself. Contemporary Art’s Epistemic Politics, (Sternberg Press, 2020) and Politics of Learning, Politics of Space. Architecture and the Education Shock of the 1960s and 1970s (De Gruyter, 2021).
