Paweł Michna graduated from the Department of Art History at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. He is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, in the Anthropology of Literature and Cultural Studies Department, where he is working on a project about the activities of the Graphics Office of the Lodz Ghetto. His research focuses on socially and politically engaged art from the interwar avantgarde up to contemporary art, and on visual documents that appeared during the Holocaust. In 2018 he conducted research at the Yad Vashem Institute within the framework of Two-Week Research Fellowships for PhD Students/Candidates from Abroad. In May 2020 he was awarded The Joseph Kremen Memorial Fellowship in Eastern European Jewish Arts, Music and Theater in the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.
